During my recent city break in Kyoto with a friend, we had the pleasure of staying at Ryokan Yamazaki, a serene retreat a bit away from the city's hustle and bustle. The hospitality was exceptional, welcoming us into a peaceful atmosphere characterized by immaculate housekeeping and traditional Japanese futon bedding laid on tatami floors, which added to the authentic experience. We found the location convenient, with public transport options right at our doorstep-an ideal blend for those who appreciate tranquility yet desire easy access to Kyoto's top attractions. I particularly relished the well-appointed indoor public bath, providing a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploration. As for dining, we savored the Continental breakfast each morning; I only wish we could have indulged in their Japanese dinner offerings. Ryokan Yamazaki enchanted us with its charm and hospitality, making it a recommended stop for anyone looking to embrace the cultural essence of Kyoto while enjoying a moment of serenity.
